Zack yawned, staring bleakly over the cup of coffee in his hands. He had woken up rather early this morning, and frankly, that never meant anything good. Zack had never been a morning person, and the earlier it was, the more dead he was likely to be. So considering it was 6:10, it was amazing he wasn't asleep in his coffee.
Gently, he sat down at an open table, which wasn't hard to find considering the only other people than him in here was a couple freshman in the far corner, and they were obviously a little ... preoccupied.
Gently he brought the cup up to his lips, the bitter liquid scalding his throat on the way down. He grimaced at the taste. 'I think I've drank better piss.' he thought bitterly, setting the cup down. Still, it was better than nothing, and it would at least wake him up.
He scanned the small shop, looking for any intelligent life he could talk to, but found no one. Usually he wasn't in the mood to speak this early in the morning, but he figured the conversation might liven him up some before he left for the weight room in a half hour. Regardless, he would be woken up there.
For now though, it seemed all he could do was sip his horrible coffee and attempt not to go to sleep on the table.

(I hope you don't mind if I just in!)
Lizzy yawned as she stepped into the nearly deserted coffee shop. She had gotten to bed late and that was helping her early morning Science Class. The stupis class just had to be scheduled for seven'o clock in the morning. Morning was still not her thing.
She order the bland coffee and sat down at the closest table she could see. This was her zombie like state. She would probably wake up after she drank some of the putrid black coffee. It was a good day. From what she could tell it was going to be a nice sunny day.
The cardboard cup was lifted up to her mouth now. Lizzy took a sip. Good thing it worked. She noticed that there was other lifeforms in the same room as her now. It seemed to be a small group of freshman, a few of which she had thought about dating but never really did anything about. They were underclassman. But she would let them flirt every now and then.
As Lizzy took yet another sip she noticed Zack. She had had a crush on him for a good while now. But not for his looks, even though it was a major plus, but for his reputation of the 'one night stands'. Which really wasn't suprising. But sadly, it seemed he was starting to doze off. So why not be 'polite' and go and say hello.
Lizzy grabbed her small purse-like bag and headed over to the open seat across from him. When she reached the table she smiled. "Do you mind if I join you?" She asked.

"Do you mind if I join you?"
Zack nearly jumped at the sudden voice that protruded through his morning zombie mode. Lifting his head from his hands, his eyes came to rest on a beautiful girl smiling at him from across the table. Zack's mind did the usual searching of names, though it really wasn't needed. Everyone knew who Liz was, even if it was only her name. In fact, she was often closely associated with Zack through the Football/Cheer leading cycle, so he knew her quite well.
"Of course not." He motioned at an empty chair, talking another bitter sip of coffee. Why he continued to drink this stuff, he really couldn't say. Students mainly just used the shop as a hangout/make out, since the shop wasn't open all day and easy to get into when it was not. Yet he actually used the shop to drink coffee, since it seemed the only thing that could fully wake him up, and every attempt he had tried at brewing his own had ended up even worse.
He turned his divided attention back to Liz, scanning her over in an obvious check - out. She was very easy on the eye, and easily one of the most beautiful girls in school. It was only natural he would take notice, even if it went nowhere.
"So Liz, Why are you up so early this morning?" Zack asked, raising his arms above his head and stretching.

Lizzy laughed lightly as he jumped. "Oh. I'm Sorry! I didn't know people could sleep here overnight." She teased in the calmest tone she could manage at this time of day. It seemed he was pretty deep in a sleep that it took him a bit to respond to her cheery tone. But when he did he quickly motioned to the seat. That ment she could sit now. So she pulled the chair out and sat down. "Sorry but I might start with some small talk. It's early. How's football practice going?" She asked. Since she was in the squad, and the games hadn't started yet, she hadn't seen him lately.
Zack seemed to be enjoying the coffee as much as she was. Carefully she placed her bag on the back of the chair and took another sip of the coffee. For a good minute or two he seemed to be thinking about something. But she was caught a bit offgaurd when his attention returned to her. But he soon did the typical check out. That was a plus. But she quickly forced herself to blush. Changing her emotions was something easy for her to do.
Then came the question. Lizzy smiled brightly once more. "Heh, class. Chemistry is at the crack of dawn. I am so not a morning person. But class is class." She stated. But she quickly backfired the question. "How 'bout you? I don't think I have ever seen you up this early before. Except for those few football practices."
